Junior Video Editor – Entertainment

We’re looking for a junior video editor to join the team at Cold Glass Productions. This is an ideal role for someone early in their edit career who has a great eye for detail, has a passion for all things social media, pop culture and entertainment, and wants to develop their skills across a range of productions.

You’ll be a key part in delivering content for a range of clients, including Dish from Waitrose, Outsiding, and more. A large part of the role will involve creating accurate, engaging subtitles and delivering polished social edits, whilst also supporting the wider edit team.

You will also be part of a highly collaborative team of creative producers, designers and editors, and will report to the Studio Production Lead. Through this role, you will develop your editorial judgement, edit techniques, and software agility.

You will work closely with creative producers across the business to create videos highlighting recent projects for the business’ website, social channels and LinkedIn accounts, as well as for use in pitches and presentations. You will also take part in creative brainstorms within the team and across the business as a whole. The ideal person for this role is an ambitious video editor in the early stages of their career with a genuine passion for social video, pop culture and entertainment, looking to develop and refine their editing skills. You will be able to work fast and flexibly, take pride in your work, and enjoy collaboration with other creatives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Working with the team to produce best-in-class social video
  • Creating accurate subtitles for content across multiple platforms
  • Creating video showcase content to celebrate the work of Cold Glass Productions
  • Organising rushes and media
  • Making client amends quickly and accurately
  • Quality checking content to ensure it meets platform specifications
  • Ensuring all content is delivered on schedule while maintaining a high standard of quality

Experience:

  • A good knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro is essential, an understanding of After Effects is a bonus but not required
  • Experience creating subtitles with excellent spelling, grammar and attention to detail
  • Good understanding of social video and social platforms is essential
  • Excellent organisational skills, time management and the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Genuine passion for digital entertainment, pop culture

Salary: An equivalent annual salary of £30k per year. This will be pro-rata’d for the length of the contract.
