We are looking for a social producer to join Cold Glass Productions, working on the BBC team.
And this producer needs to love music entertainment, pop culture, live broadcasting, working with talent, being part of a team and making digital content.
In this role, you’ll be a core part of the team delivering best-in-class content with a specific focus on two key areas: Music on Demand and Radio 2 Saturdays, where you’ll work across shows led by the network’s biggest stars to build companionship on social.
Your role is an integral part of the BBC Team at Cold Glass, while working closely with in-house production and commissioning teams at the BBC.
You will work directly with the BBC’s Music on Demand team to uplift listening to priority titles such as The Rise And Fall Of… and ERAS series. You will develop creative formats to promote shows across social media, working closely with the relevant commissioning and production teams, as well as the BBC Sounds and Speech social team, to do so.
You will also work to maximise social video output and engagement for three flagship Saturday shows on Radio 2 – Dermot O’Leary, Romesh Ranganathan, and Rylan. You will capture and edit social-only formats with presenter and guest talent, as well as creating engaging videos from in-studio footage and capturing photos of guests.
Across both Music on Demand and Radio 2 Saturdays, you will develop briefs for Cold Glass’ in-house designers and post production team for social assets and templates as required.
This is a client-facing role, partly based at BBC’s New Broadcasting House, and will require engaging with multiple stakeholders on a daily basis. The working week for this role is Tuesday-Saturday.
The ideal Producer will be creative and ambitious, ready to bring energy and deliver new ideas in two distinct spaces. You will have demonstrable experience of creating social and digital content for youth audiences – including video editing and creative planning – and of working directly with talent to produce social content.
